• You may see yourself as "different" from other gay men, and wonder if you really are a part of this "gay community."

Imagine being in a group of other gay men where you get to share what is really on your heart, what it means to feel both different and connected to the community, and where no one judges you for what you say and how you feel. GAY CIRCLES is a program that started in New York in the 1980s and expanded to other cities, including Washington, D.C., Chicago and Philadelphia.

To date, over 20,000 gay men have participated in this life-transforming program!

We decided to bring this program to San Francisco because we heard from so many of our gay friends the same comments over and over. These words may have come out of your mouth too!

• You don't really know what the gay "community" really is, much less feel a part of it
• You want to connect with other gay men outside the bars or after the pride parade is over
• You don't want to feel shamed or judged for who you are or what you've done, not just from family and friends but from other gay men!

So what exactly will happen in Gay Community Circles - San Francisco?

• 8 weeks of deep sharing and connection that will be facilitated by an experienced leader who led Gay Circles in New York where it originated
• Opportunities to ask yourself deeper questions and find out what you really believe about topics like Love & Relationships, Sex & Sexuality, Responsibility to other gay men in our "community" and Life Changes
• Creating life-long friends because of the unique experience you have because you share your deepest experiences

As you share, you let go of past hurts and pains. You share your joys, triumphs and dreams. You peel the many layers to uncover the real you!

In other words, you leave the program a different person than when you started. And you have a circle of new life-long friends who are there to support you.

This program is meant for people who want to experience both deeper connections with other gay men and a deeper feeling of fullness in life. We want to make sure that the environment we create is one that supports each and every person.

1. Can you COMMIT to the full 8 weeks of the program? Each week builds on the next, and we peel the layers to get to deeper and to more meaningful issues. Also, part of building community is making a commitment to each other to be there. It is imperative that you can make every weekly meeting.
2. Are you willing to SHOW UP just as you are, with no pretense or feeling that you have to be someone else? We are building a completely safe space where you and others can feel free to be exactly who you are. To do that, you have to make the commitment first with yourself. When you do that, everyone else is given permission to be who they are.
3. Will you SUPPORT your fellow gay peers to be the best they can be? Sometimes what we share will be the first time those words have ever been uttered. We need a supportive environment where we encourage and cheer our fellow gay men to their greatness! We all need to know that you'll support each other in this way.

The program runs from 10 am to 12 noon for 8 consecutive Saturdays starting September 11 and ending October 30.

And as we launch the second, third and fourth circles of this program, you won't be seeing this low price again.

Because of this low price, this tuition is non-refundable. But you can gift it to another person if you can't attend. However, the transfer cannot happen once the program has started.

About the Leaders of Gay Community Circles

Scott Murchison is the facilitator for the initial launch of Gay Community Circles San Francisco. Scott is an original participant with Gay Circles in New York, and has served as facilitator for several gay circles for the past 15 years. One of the reasons he does this is to "help facilitate growth. It's miraculous to see where the participants start, and how they leave the program!"
